I'm not all that impressed with the spine care I've received so far in Atlanta. I do have a list of surgeons not to see though. Your multi-level laminectomy/ discectomies was what an Emory surgeon suggested for me. I was leery since it took him less than 5 minutes and acted like my questions were a irritating him.

Spine Journey, the ESI discomfort at the cervical level lasted several more days than the lumbar. To make matters worse, I was prescribed Tramadol for pain. I forgot 3 years ago it had a negative effect on my digestive tract. Not a comforting thought after Thanksgiving dinner.......

KRM, The insurance thing might be an uphill battle this time.....we switched from Aetna to BCBS in 2010.

LUD, Thanks for the tip on facets and adjacent segment possibilities. I'm going to weigh all of the information and still have 3 or 4 more surgeons to see.

Bob, okay I got caught up on this thread of yours, so don't feel like you have to send me a PM now. I too am sorry you are now finding yourself dealing with spinal issues again, albeit cervical. You are a wise, well-informed person and I know you will cross all your T's and dot all your I's as you determine the best treatment for YOU and your body. Have you made a decision yet?
