This is a discussion on anyone hear of the LP-ESP artifical disc? within the Artificial Disc Replacement forums, part of the Spine Surgery Support category; I have been in contact with Dr. Bertagnoli and he wanted to use the LP-ESP artifical disc for my lumbar ...
I have been in contact with Dr. Bertagnoli and he wanted to use the LP-ESP artifical disc for my lumbar spine. He stated it to me," This unconstrained model shows the kinematical features of a model “mimicking” the natural disc, while providing safety of implantation and anchorage." I just wnated wanted to see what others thought of this disc compared to the m6 or neodisc.
Sorry Mark. Can't say I've heard of it. Others will chime in soon hopefully with something more to offer. CL

It took a bit of searching but here's the disc you asked about.

It looks similar in catagory as the M6 and Freedom.
Do you think they might use a lizard with a French accent for their mascot?

If I was you, I would ask Dr. B how many he has implanted of this disc.
Supposedly, a surgeon "refines" his technique after doing about 100 cases of a surgery.
It looks cool and looking at the pictures, it looks like a mouth inside the body--viewing from the anterior. However, it does not look like a Gecko.
