    Hi Andrea,

It sounds like you had very successful surgery. Wish your recovery also be good!
I have a pointment with Dr. Pettine in June. He made on the top 100 spine surgeons in US list. Reading your history, I found you had DRX9000 treatment in 2010. What do you think about DRX9000 treatment? It seams to me this treatment is perfert for you. I had 30 treatments by DRX9000 ($50 each), which helped me for couple years. I made a very similar equipment home and I still use it every day. Combining with Yoga, I almost pain free with limited walking and standing.

    Xiaoyu,
I am very happy with Dr. Pettine and his staff! I feel great.. This is week 4 and I'm better every day! No back pain at all!!!
I tried the DRX9000 a couple times and chose to do Spine Med. its the newer version of the DRX. It helped a ton (4 x a week).. once I stopped I went right back to the beginning. I then decided to do an MRI in Jan and found there wasn't a disc to decompress.
I have continued to get adjusted weekly since surgery to help my neck. Dr. Pettine's office said I can go back to having regular adjustments at 6 weeks.
I like they support Chiropractic care.
I have never done Yoga and I cant wait to start!

Thanks for your post! Good luck at your visit.. I see them tomorrow.

You might try a low-level Tai Chi class if there is one near you. I take one called Tai Chi for arthritis and it helps. Yogo can be very strenuous on the back when doing certain exercises.
    Diagnosis:
    Degenerative disc disease throughout spine
Generalized disc bulging with mild narrowing of thecal sac in L2-L3, L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1.
    Moderate spinal stenosis L4-L5
    Foraminal narrowing
    Recent compression Fx at T10,T11.
    Treatment:
    Spinal decompression 2007
Cortisone injection in lower back in 2010
    Relieved of pain for now
    Hope for ADR

Ah HA! I knew there was something special about you, Andrea.

Welcome to the Zero Gravity chair club! I have to agree entirely. It's just one of things I cannot explain to people just how helpful/absolutely awesome it is. I have had my Zero Gravity chair (saved $300 by buying a refurb) for around two years and shall never part with it! Justin has one too.

P.S. On the tempurpedic mattress -- do you all think it's worth the extra cost to buy the official name brand tempurpedic mattress or would one of the many knock-off memory foam mattresses work well? I tend to think, in this case, it's worth it to go ahead and get the original name brand tempurpedic, but not sure.
