Announcement ClinicalTrials.gov, US Institutes of Health: Clinical Trial Information for Artificial Disc Replacement & Spinal Diseases

Bob, our Super Moderator here at the Spine Patient Society, suggested I start a thread on a great resource available to Spine Patients: the Clinical Trials website hosted by the US Institutes of Health. This website spells out current clinical trials, their recruitment status, inclusion / exclusion criteria for a given study, as well as contact information for participating physicians. It's truly a great resource.

Below are links to a couple of terms I searched ("Artificial Disc Replacement" & "Spinal Disease"). You can also search any term in the upper right-hand corner of the website.

ClinicalTrials.gov -- US Institutes of Health: Artificial Disc Replacement

ClinicalTrials.gov -- US Institutes of Health: Spinal Diseases

    I hope this helps.

Default Re: ClinicalTrials.gov, US Institutes of Health: Clinical Trial Information for Artificial Disc Replacement & Spinal Diseases

Thanks Justin & Bob! That site was a lifesaver for me, without it, I would have not been able to find my trial and have surgery. I was able to find ADR clinical trials, look at inclusion and exclusion criteria to see if I qualified. I then asked on the boards about the different surgeons participating and was able to narrow it down to two surgeons (the ones who invented it together). Then I picked based on weather, since they were equally qualified! (Miami or snow, no brainer beaches) LOL Too bad all of our choices aren't that easy! Anyway, I would highly recommend that website.
