Paudie,
I hope you have an uneventful journey and a smooth speedy recovery. In my opinion, you're in great hands both before, during and after surgery.
Godspeed,
Bob

2010 Cycling accident tripped up a prior motorcycle injury
C5-6 and C6-7 disc degeneration, foraminal compromise with indentation of nerve roots causing arm pain and weakness
Aug-27-2010: 2-level ADR with Nick Boeree (Nuffield-Wessex Hospital, Eastleigh, UK) using Spinal Kinetics M6-C
Completely off of pain meds since a few days post-op and symptom-free; have returned to cycling, climbing and all other activities (but staying off the motorcycle)
Thank you Tyler. Fair play to you for remembering, arrived at Stenum today, they are very organised here, nice clean hotel next to hospital, they had driver waiting for me at airport with info on the schedule, going in to hospital tomorrow for Pre op assesmet, fingers crossed.
That's really good news, hope the recovery goes well.
Paudie,
Welcome to the other side!
I hope today finds you as pleased and amazed as I was on day two. The nurses were a bit concerned when I started taking my walks without a walker but the absence of leg pain was a huge motivator for me to get moving on my own again. Just take it slow and easy and follow the surgeon's directions.
Congratulations!
Bob
