Default Looking at 2-level Artificial Disc Replacement

    Hi everyone

Im new to this site and i am currently trawling the internet everyday, looking for more information on what i am about to experience and how to manage the swinging pendulum of my mood swings living on all this medication and not being able to exercise. I will be having a double disc replacement in June so not long now and hopefully i should be pain free....i have to look on the brightside otherwise id run..... well attempt to lol ! Im thinking about blogging my experience from now until after surgery...the highs and the lows etc. But im not sure if it would scare people if things dont go as planned. Obviously it could be a great source of comfort if things go well! What do people think?

    Thanks

Hi Lois, as well as helping others by giving them information keeping a record can be a big help to the person doing it. It will enable you to see the progress you make even if its only small and writing things down will give you perspective. Why not start now(even if only occasionally), you'll be able to give a real before and after perspective. How are you planning on blogging?

    Hi Alison

Hope your as well as can be, seems you ahve had a hard time from reading your signature. Hope your feeling as well as can be. I thin your right about the blogging, thanks for your support. Ive started it on here tonight under the blogging section. Dont usually like talking talking about myself but since i have been ill with this i have been desperate to know about someone elses journey who have been in a similar situation, but ive not found anything which is why i wanted to post mine. If it helps one person it would have been of use! Hey ur only down the road from me, what lovely weather we have been having! xx

As you noticed, we have the capability to blog. Feel free to dive right in and blog! Reading the experiences of Spine Patients was extremely helpful in the past when I was contemplating surgery. It's also a great way for you to track your "progress" -- to see how far you have come with controlling your pain and help you get through the roller coaster of emotions that is post-op.

BTW: the blogging feature is available to all Members.
