Been doing accupuncture I stopped for now the massage - I did 2 sessions in one week & requested we just do the areas involved with TOS - some help but it kept coming right back & just could not get the shoulders to open up or be less tight - both times this was the same. So I then asked just to see - if we could LEAVE out the TOS entirely & JUST FOCUS ONLY on the Neck - C3 thru C7 only. The 1st time I did just the neck - the hands in the palms the deep cramping released & I have my right thumb jumping & twitching but in a good way like some relief coming to it although temporary. A interesting note was my left lung & nose opened up & I could breath so much easier & I then was reminded of how I used to breath so effortlessly - this only lasts for about a day max and I still feel my neck pain but it seems to indicate to me which is primary as my body does not lie. I DO notice the Artery compression is NEVER relieved however no matter what. I repeated the 2nd neck only accupuncture treatment & once again more relief to the shoulders & arms again not complete nor lasting but the body is a map & I feel it is telling me what the real issue is. However, with use of my arms like simple wiping off of my kitchen counters was all & doing dishes had the arms hands & shoulders flared up & no sleep last nite just from that-due to the arms, hands, shoulders & neck - something that i used to take for granted & never caused me any issues no longer is something that I can do without a price. To me that ix certainly not overdoing things nor is it a excuse as I actually enjoy doing things & cleaning etc. I leave on the 7th for TBI - I just hope it will be productive & I can make effective use of the visit. I need at least 2 American spine opinions that have seen me in person & hopefully get some confirmation & not more confusing conflicting opinions. Jill
Good Luck at TBI!
Your comment about taking the breathing for granted, just goes to show how we all took our healthy pain free selfs for granted. One day may we all return to pain free living and all remeber just how much of a luxury and a blessing that is.

Thanks K Bear & Amen to that Sister-
Having pain free living for everyone it is indeed a blessing - one that often is fleeting over eludes us. I have told my kids treasure your hands & your body - I know they still don't quite get it - in their 20's.

All of my tests are finally back in today to be sure on the TOS it is not the primary source - while i have the Extra Cervical Rib I had CT with contrast to show while there ( extra rib) it is NOT the source of the compression for my arms.IF i had listened to the 1st spine doc I saw here in town who said get the Cervical Rib out - the Thoracic Vascular doc was sure of the TOS but felt it was caused by the severe stenosis of my neck - Vascular doc then getting the report from the spine doc then said OK come in as he must be correct & we will remove the Cervical rib & hope that is it. I found a Artery doc to take a deeper look with the help of my GP. I dont see where this would have done anything other than put me thru a harder & even more riskier surgery & not gotten to the cause and still needed to have my neck fixed. So I am glad to have this behind me & it certainly points to how wrong the one spine doc was & how correct Dr B in Germany & Stenum is this being the Cervical, another US Spine doc said no I need a 2 level fusion due to facet arthritis without testing them & loss of Lordosis. So I would like one USA Spine doc to agree on ADR. However now they cant pass it back & forth anymore on the TOS and my extra rib now that I have that proven in passing me back to a Thoracic Doc.
