Thank you for giving me things to think about. Because of your story, I'm very leery of ADR. I want to be me again, but not with the gamble that is on the table. I've had such hope for ADR in the back of my mind. Hoping that one day technology would actually catch up with me and help me be "whole" again! It seems that ADR is promising, but not evolved enough for such a large gamble. I don't really like the option of being flat on my back for who knows how long! Especially if I have to pay out of pocket for the pleasure! Reading your story has made me think this over many times and I'm still unsure of my path. I really do appreciate your putting your heart and soul into your response. Have you had any relief of your pain since your fusion? I'm so terribly sorry that you've had to suffer so much and hope you don't think I'm making light of your situation in looking for answers to my own. Again, thank you.

mmarsh, I , in no ways think that you are making light of my situation. I am not much of a forum person and the whole idea for getting my sore a.. here was - the hope that telling my story might help some other people not to get into the similar situation, and not fall for the same propaganda and myths.

You know, if you are truly indicated for ADR and trust that your surgeon has the best possible solution for your situation according to the Hypocratic Law that he/she swore to, then it doesnt mean you will not benefit from ADR and will not get your whole life back. Many people have (many people here!).
