Default Scar treatment - this can apply for any surgery

Hey folks I wanted to share a product I am impressed with it NOT ONLY fades your scar it flattens it! I thought about all of those having ADR surgery / decompression or fusions. It is money back guaranteed to work if usd as directed or your money back & is FDA approved.
It is a bit expensive 17 bucks for a 3 month supply but in my opinion it is worth it as it is already working for me after only 2 applications. The big thing is it has flattened this area as it was swollen & that is a big relief right there & it has already started to fade a little & enuf to easily notice looks so much better d/n expect this so soon or I would have taken a b/4 pic alreay. Hub found this at Walmart has vit e oil in it skin antioxidant & silicone liquid gel the medical silicone pad is reusable & washable. Their is drops in the kit for when not wearing the pad you cut the pad to what you need & it is very comfortable to wear. I have used mederma in the past & felt it was pretty good & vit E oil but this is even better IMHO. It can be used even on older scars as it showed a yr old scar on the box b/4 & after.
It is called Dr Blaines Scar care Treatment www.drblaines.com It gives instructions as to not apoplying to a open wound or sutured wound til the sutures have been remv'd. Made in Ca. I know this company Blaine labs as they make medical pharmacetical cosmetic but it is their veterinary line that gave me coinfidence in this product. I should put some on my 2 back scars too More than beauty is the fact this flattens the scar & took down as a result the swelling & that makes things just feel a little more comfy. I showed Hubby & he insatantly noticed the difference last nite. I was not sure which spot to post this in.

I'll have to look into this. I have 3 scars from my fusion surgery & am feeling pretty Frankensteinish. If I wear my low riding jeans, you can see the ones of have on my back. I'll never forget when I went to see a dermatologist & he seen my scars & his reaction was "WHAT did you DO to your back?"

My husband is constantly making sure that my shirt is covering them. I have to wonder if it is more because he doesn't want to see them or if it's because he knows I'm self conscious about them.
Disc Bulge C4/C5, Disc Degeneration T11/T12, Bi-Lateral tears L5/S1, Diagnosed w/ Lumbar Disc Derangement w/ Radiculopaphy. Treatment: IDET, Percutaneous Discectomy, SI Joint Injection, Facet Block. All failed. Empire BC/BS Denied Coverage for ADR-lost all of my appeals. MVP also denied coverage.

    Anterior/Posterior Fusion L5/S1 -1/20/09 - I'm not 100% but I'll take the 85%! When the weather co-operates, it's 95% woohoo!

    Thanks for that.

I also have a cream that my veterinarian friend gave me to help reduce inflammation and pain. The Olympian riders near here use it on their horses, she said, so I figure it was good enough for my mare. The better part is that it is meant to be used by us humans first and foremost.

It is Traumeel Cream, and contains 12 different herbs and minerals, and can be found in the homeopathic section of the health food stores. I don't know if I told this story before but it shows its 'powers'.

My husband slipped through the rungs of the ladder while coming down off the roof and badly scraped his legs and thigh. He had a large hematoma just above his knee on the outer thigh, about the size of half a grapefruit. The lower shin was scraped pretty badly, but no open bleeding gash or anything.

I got it cleaned off and put the cream on within ten minutes and he rested for about an hour as he had too much sun too. I put ice on the other leg where he had a bit of swelling too, but no cream, to prove something to my skeptical hubby

Within two hours, the large swelling on his thigh was completely gone, as was the extensive bruising. The scrapes on the shin almost completely disappeared as well within another hour or two. Meanwhile, the iced part had gone down as far as swelling was concerned, but not nearly as much as with the cream, and the redness was still there. The pain was gone on the other side as well.

I completely missed a spot on the back of his heel, above the bone. It was very red, and stayed that way for several days. Even I was impressed with the difference

There is also a tablet available for use as an anti-inflammatory, but I've never used it. Maybe since I cannot take Advil, etc., I should try it, but I'll check with my homeopathic doctor first.

So I keep a tube of this in the barn as well as the house, and have gone through a couple this summer, treating my daughter when she sprained her knee on a marathon run this summer, and my old mare too when she took a wrong step. I never thought to try it on my back though

Thanks Nairek, and I hope I didn't hijack your thread. Maybe we can either continue with remedies we have found, or start a new one?
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.

Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Jill,

Thanks for posting this information. I was speaking with a dermatologist friend the other day about scar reduction cremes. He said that "nothing really works." However, this product does look interesting.

Here's a link to their Complete ScarCare® Treatment Kit Clinical Studies PDF (it has many before and after pictures, but the studies look like "in-house data" so I'm not sure if they have been formally published.) -->

    Thanks again for the information.

    Default Another solution

I found Bio oil excellent for massaging into scars post op. As soon as they were healed massage 3/4 times a day it helps reduce the bumpiness and tightness. It helped the redness die down quickly and make the scar much more sightly.

Will have to look to find the cream for me it is not appearance as it is I dont want the raised area as I dont want any thickening or adhesions even on the surface in a thin skinned & tight area as my collar bone & the help with swelling.

No involved! I'm actually surprised that there isn't more talk about scar reduction remedies. Maybe I'm just a tad when it comes to my scars....
