I've skied after my 3 lumbar ADR's. Now I haven't been again for a few years just due to pain levels, mainly. But, like Gil, and a few others, I've been skiing for over 40 years. And I'm a certified down-hill ski instructor. I never had problems with my back skiing.....it was always my bum left knee that hurt like the dickens. I absolutely do not ski blacks anymore and I definitely don't do moguls anymore either. I'm just looking to keep skiing the green, groomed trails and a few blue runs too. This article is majorly encouraging!!! CL

AMEN!!!! Like others, for me skiing is a passion, and frankly I'd probably end up doing again regardless. But it is good to know others are in the same boat making the same decision. I've had to tone it down a bit, but it is a blast to cruise the blues, and carve a few deep turns in the pow. Ahhhhh, that feeling of locking into a turn and dragging your fingers accross the snow.....Dang it. Now I wanna go NOW!!!!

But seriously, yes, I stay away from jumps, trees, and big moguls now, but that would have likely happend regardless of my current need to have an ortho on speed dial, so I say go for it.

And for those who haven't learned how as kids, I think Cindylou needs to open a special ski skool for the spineys!!! Hmmmm I'm thinking a big snowy party is in order. Face it, it would be a grand get together!

    Ahhh - I can dream can't I???
