Much thanks for that post on the M6 and Dr Boeree. It's very helpful. Before I found this site I never would have imagined how much support I could feel from people I never met in person, only online, but who happened to be suffering from a like condition and facing like decision-making dilemmas.

Those of you who passed through this before really are sort of inspirational guides for those of us still facing the decision.

A herniated and serverely degenerated cervical disc C6-7 seems to cause all my symptoms. In the past year, the disc immediately below C6-7 also began showing up as some 90% degenerated. But it does not appear to be causing any symptoms as yet.

My surgeon recommended replacing both discs with 2 Prodiscs. My insurance refused coverage.

Should I do surgery? Pay cash for replacement? In Germany? Which surgeon and artificial disc? One level or two?

I think we all just want to pass on what we received before we had surgery. I know I'm forever grateful for all the help I received from everyone. On a funny note, I always thought people who talked to people they didn't know were a bit off their rocker and weird. Never in a million years would I have imagined a group like this where everyone supports everyone and is very caring. Having such a major issue and not having anyone who understands is lonely. Then you get here and there are others who get what it's like to live in pain 24/7 and what it's like to give up things you love, your lifestyle and so much more. I'm so thankful for this group and happy to contribute and help others.
