Do you think this means the end of the Maverick disc over there?
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

My Mavericks are soon to be three years and going strong on November 4th. I am eternally grateful.

The new disc looks awesome. I hope that it ends up being good technology.

I spoke to the company rep yesterday and I think he said they would be starting really soon, but they haven't even begun to plan for it in Canada. Once they do, it will take two years for approval here. Not near soon enough for me.

I wouldn't be accepted into a trial anyway...too many levels need replacing But if I wait three to five years, my surgeon may have access to it
