Had pre-op today. Definitely feeling real...
Oh, I am so sorry Matt.....no, you cannot afford to get sick at this point, that's for sure. Thank goodness you have family that live close by. Yay......for little pluses. Take some extra vitamins, extra fluids too, just to be sure. CL

Local Wichita news is reporting pneumonia outbreak here in city; makes a lot of sense given the nature of the plague that is out there.

Both my little ones have Dr appts this afternoon. Oldest (Kaitlyn) still had a fever this am. My youngest (Brooke) doesn't have fever, but raspy; we think breast feeding is giving her some protection.

Work outbreak is still real bad; if I hear on Sunday that the crap is still prevalent, I may go ahead and start my short term disability on Monday.

I'm still in isolation; I've never been a germ paranoid individual; but this has got me nervous.

I'm just glad its college basketball conference tournament time. Gives me time to watch a lot of bball.

I am now 1 week out. This time next week I will be in recovery; hard to believe!

Seems to be the same thing here in North Texas. Several of my friends' kids have RSV and/or Pneumonia. I'd definitely lay low if I were you. Praying you stay well, Kathy

Waiting till Tuesday to return home. Girls fevers broke this morning. Both still have bad coughs but they are on the mend.

Today was my Kaitlyn's 4th bday. Poor girl as been sick on her birthday for the last 2 yrs.

I'm getting more and more nervous about the surgery now. The reality of the situation has really set-in.
I am going to work in the am. However, if the plague is still apparent, tomorrow will be my last day at work until after my recovery; that is a bit surreal.

    So many emotions brewing!

So my baby girl has mild case of RSV. Dadgum...just won't stop.

I'll most likely stay at mom's until surgery now. She still has a fever this pm so I can't go back yet.

Missed work today. Spirit is more than willing, but flesh is incredibly weak today.

My back is reminding me today why I am going to be gutted open on Friday. The low back goods are indeed angry and demanding sacrifice.

    Three more wake-ups

Hope your surgery went well and you are on the road to recovery. I had a two-level fusion on December 29, 2010 with the same approach. I remember worrying so much about being cut open and my organs moved around, and the thought of the incisional pain drove me nuts. How funny, though, that the only real pain I had after the surgery was from them taking bone from my hip to put in the cages. VERY PAINFUL ... couldn't even walk without a walker for three weeks. I'm 12 weeks post-op and have had very little pain at the incisional site. When I had my surgery, they had a problem with a vein being in the way of the surgical site, which made the surgery more difficult...thank God I was asleep! I also had to be flipped and cut in the back so he could put screws in my facets. Aside from normal surgical healing pain, I feel much better than I did before surgery. Hope you get well soon!
