    Hey all,

I recently found this forum and I'm already hard at work researching symptoms and trying to cross reference with my issues. I had a pretty bad episode last May, and am still trying to figure out where to go from there.

It looks like so far I have a central herniation at L4-L5, a bulge at L5-S1, and mildly problematic facet joints. I also have multiple herniations and bone spurs in the thoracic spine, but thpse are just tingles compared to the lumbar issues.

I've recently been looking at maybe doing the m6 or freedom disc at some point, but for the facet issues, but it sounds like Stenum doesn't view facet issues as a complete contraindication like some others do. I'm not sure if the freedom disc is out yet, but the m6 looks like it's been implanted quite a bit since September and perhaps before. Has anyone here gotten the m6 and if so, what was their experience? I'd also be curious to hear what the recovery is like for 2 level vs 1 level ADR surgery.

    Hi trevize,

Welcome to the Spine Patient Society!

We are here to support you and help in your research. If you take a look through the Surgical Outcomes Forum here at the Spine Patient Society, you will find some Members that have had the M6 implanted.

I've got to run, but we will catch up soon.

Welcome and hope you find out what you need. I found recovering from 2 level adr a long process but had a very good outcome for 5 years and was worth doing for the quality of life I had for that period. I think the hardest thing about the op was the anterior approach. My leg, bladder and bowel symptoms resolved immediately from the surgery and I was just left with some leg and foot numbness and motor problems from nerve compression.
