    Default dicogram questions

im new, i never had one before, my feeling scared if read the infon on little paper they hand out tells me not much, I have to have one they need to see the doctors said which is causing my problem i had surgery august 2010 adr for c4 c5, the mri was too distorted to show and of the cervical and ct some hardening and not good enough and told the neuro wants done wont proceed without so im in the middle either do it to try to fix problem or dont do it and stay in pain, so when they go in and inject the disc if i have inflammation possibly from allergy to disc or not from disc will this give false positive results, and when they inject disc with needle wont that leave a small hole from needle for disc to leak out of there and give false reading, i was told the reason for this is to inject disc to see if the dye comes out of disc that is were the problem is, the neuro told me i had annular tear c5 c6 if i have a tear the dye will leak out there, so if he knows i have a tear there why make me have disco gram only to confirm his suspision , and the only one in the area nero sent me to pain management doctor to do this ireally dont like the guy but i have no choice theres only 3 that will do this discogram in my area , after an adr is put in he says its the only way to see were pain is coeming from mris do not show up because of metal distorting the view, cts not really good and xray well they just do those for what reason i do not know, I wish i had one doctor who would do all of this , surgery discogram and pain management, have to make 3 doctors appts its insane running back forth. OH also the doctor said after i am injected for discogram i have to go to hospital down the road have my driver take me and get ct scan then come back to his office with disc i said what , so after i am sedated injected to make my pain i gotta go down the road in car to get ct and come back to his office with cd then go home its nuts... did anyone else have to do this...

I don't see that you received an answer. Have you had your discogram yet?

I had one and I posted my experience on this Forum. You can use the search feature to find it by typing in "discogram" and pressing enter. Or you can go to my profile and search for threads I have started or look through my posts to find it.

I hope all is going well for you!
