I know I have to have it done and I am at peace with it. Of course ... I have plenty of meds on hand for when the lidocane wears off. My pain specialist said I'm going to need it.

Hi there,
I had a myelogram that is supposedly different from what a discogram is but they inserted the needle of dye into my back. I now
have to go back to the hospital to pick up the film since another hospital cannot read it. If I can make a suggestion. I wish I would have thought to get pain medication for after the procedure. I did not and I suffered with what felt like the needle was still in my back for as long as 4-5 days afterwards. The only advice I was told was to use ice. It only helped 1%. I will let your doctor decide what he would be willing to give you. Good luck and keep in touch. I had a CTscan right afterwards in which they just wheeled me to the machine. Good luck and keep and keep in touch. Carmen
