    Default Epidural today

Today, at 2:30 pm, I am scheduled to have a right sided SI Joint epidural injection (under floroscopy) by my pain management doctor. They recommended I be sedated as it will likely be quite painful, since it is going into the area where most of my pain is coming from. And remember, we don't know if it has fused or not. (I see the SI doc next week about that) Please pray that it will give me relief as well as diagnostic benefit. Thank-you. CL

Fingers crossed for you, hope it will be of diagnostic value.

    p.s.
AFAIK, its not an epidural injection. Its just "SI joint injection".

Home resting and icing. And yes, funny you should mention that Keano16.....I asked the nurse about that and she corrected me too. They made a point about me being there 45 minutes early since I was having sedation, and I was....50 minutes early, to be exact. The time kept ticking away and I kept going up to the desk and reminding these young girls I am having sedation..... 4, maybe 5 times I went up there. Oh, yeah the nurse will come and get you. So yeah, the nurse finally calls me when there is not even enough time for oral sedation to kick in. I was really getting agitated. I said I want IV sedation now. They finally agreed.....my pain levels were way up from all the sitting on planes, car seats, and hospital chairs. So the lidocaine has all worn off hours ago, and I know pain could be worse for few days and then hopefully injection will kick in. Praying and fingers crossed
