Got a date (Discography)

This is a discussion on Got a date (Discography) within the Diagnostic Tests & Spinal Injections forums, part of the General Spine Discussion Forums category; for my discogram - 4th March. Having L2/L3 & L3/L4 tested. Sort of "Yay" but sort of "eek" as well...

I wish you the best and hope the procedure does not cause extra pain. At least you may get some answers and the date is very soon.

Alison, not my most favorite diagnostic procedure on the planet, but you'll be ok, and it should provide some valuable information about your continued pain generators. I'll be thinking of you, and besides, just try to remember March 4th is Tully's 1st Birthday already so it will put a smile on your face that she's sending you lots of slobbery kisses!

    Alison,

Will you be receiving mild sedation during this procedure? Just wondering. There are several amnesic drugs that can be used to help you forget the procedure.

Yup. The caudal epidrual I had in 2008 was done under light sedation, it was still pretty horrific and I can remember all of it. Main problem I have is that needles do not like going into my spine, it took three goes to get a lumbar epidural in one time and it was not in properly so didn't work. The anaesthetist was very skilled so not his fault. I saw him a few years later and he still remembered me .

Early happy birthday wishes incase i'm feeling rubbish (almost certain as even showing my back a needle makes it freak.) My 30th was far more stressful than my 40th. I felt so old and depressed. So daft thinking back to it now as its nothing to worry about at all.
