    CL, Kathy and Katie,

It was some sort of steroid. I remember him saying kenaflex or something like that but when I googled it last night I could not find anything like that at all. I know the numbing agent was Lidocane. Starting to get a little sore so I just took another Norco. It is a different soreness than before so I'm thinking it is just the injection sites.

I've been walking around every hour or so just so I won't lock up, and that seems to be helping.

Thanks ladies, you are real 's in my book!!!!

4 days post injection and the pain is still decreasing. I have my fingers crossed this works for a very long time.

That's absolutely wonderful! I am so glad that it is working, Dave. Please keep us updated. How much has the pain decreased now?
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

    Katie,

I'd say 40-50% reduction so far. I no longer have the searing hip pain I had prior to the injection. Should get much better over the next several days.

Dave, very good news. 50% is huge , and 85% would be even better. Just call me the greedy one! Keep us posted as it decreases as this is very promising for you. My best to you Dave.
