Good news yes, but I remember Murphy's law as well. Plus as an engineer I have to remember "For every action, there is a reaction", not always for the better.
Not a pessimist or an optimist, just the facts will tell.

1/06- In wreck with 18 wheeler at 25 years old; 6/06- Head on collision on Interstate, both wrecks other drivers fault. Numerous MRI's, PT, chiropractic, acupuncture, TENS therapy, massage therapy, facet injections, epidural injections, Nerve study, Discogram, confirms pain in L4/5, IDET, decompression, Bi-lateral neurotomy L3/4/5, denied by insurance twice, in Active L clinical trial, had surgery March 17, 2009 in Miami, FL- received Active L disc at 29 years old. Pain and medication free as of October 2010!
Mommy to Emma- 8 years, Ava- 5.5 years & had baby Eli after ADR, via c-section on March 25, 2011, completely pain free still!

Don't know what happened, but yesterday I was standing with a group of people talking. I went to turn around and "wham", down I went with a very sharp pain in my lower back. I iced myself when I got home and again this morning, but the pain is horrible.
How soon can they do another injection? Is there a time frame?
I calling in a little bit.

I don't think there is a time limit, since they say that they usually last 1-3 months. I would assume, that if you are on the shorter end of the spectrum and the injection had worked, that they would be happy to do another. I would definitely call and ask them.

When my husband had his, his first one last 6-9 months, then the second one has lasted almost 3 years. It seems like they last longer, the more you get.

Pain levels have stabilized in my lower back to a manageable level of 3 to 4. I have an appoint on the 25th of August to have a second series of injections, so hopefully this will reduce the pain even more. I'm so tired of taking pills everyday. Norco has a hyper reaction on me, like I drank 10 cups of espresso.

Glad to hear you've stabilized. Hopefully, the second round helps you.
I know what you mean about the pills and hating them. For me, Norco puts a "fog" around my thoughts, and I need to drink caffeine to work through it. I give a little curse everytime I take one.
BTW, I'm an Engineer as well.

- Lying down, pulsing/throbbing pain for 2-3 hours
- Taking 6-8 Norcos/day

Norco also makes me very hyper. I will want to go clean the house, wash the car, run in circles, will talk your ear off, etc. It's also like a euphoria, where I'm just really happy and nice. Of course when it wears off, I'm back on the couch crying in pain. Makes me feel like I'm bipolar, just with episodes of each lasting 2 or 3 hours and going back and forth all day! I try to control myself, so I don't overdo it on it and get to hurting worse. My doctor said that it does affect a small percent of the population this way (it does the same to my brothers). No one gets it when I tell them that; but it is so true.

Dave, it's good to hear that your pain levels have stabilized. Hopefully, the injections on the 25th will help. I completely understand about taking pills--they are necessary, but life would be so much better without them.
