Most of you know that I grill on Friday nights for our home football games. Well, the crew went out and got me a tall stool to sit on while I'm cooking. I thought that was really nice of them.
That is so sweet of them. It really makes life alot easier when the people around you understand or at least empathize with what you are going through.

    WoW Dave:

I am so sorry that you are on the roller-coaster again. I remember when the cervical went out on you and I take it from this post that you are in much worse shape. I am sorry that you are going to need another surgery. It sounds like you have the opportunity to go back to the miracle worker from before?

I have missed you Dave and think of you often. I am hopeful that you and your lovely bride might make it up here for the fall colors in the next week or so. We should be at peak and it should be a great shopping week as well.

Hang in there and i am available to talk to any time.

    Your Up North pal.

Dave, I am glad that they are scheduling the MRI asap. That is the good news. Having to up your meds, not so much. But, and it is a big BUT, if it at least helps manage your pain better in the interim, then that is a good thing. Keep us posted on the MRI results.

And, oh yes, so very kind of your friends to get you the stool for the games. Alot of my friends would have never thought of something so kind, and so functional. Good people.

Dave- I am glad they are going to get you an MRI asap. I know it's not fun having to keep getting more meds; but if it helps your pain and helps you function, then well worth it. You will be in my prayers, Kathy

Thanks folks for the uplifting support.

MRI is scheduled for Monday, 10.12.09, and I see Hamati on 10.20.09.
When I saw Dr. Hamati, he seemed concerned in how much pain I was having in the leg and groin area, but he was also concerned about the L2/3 area as well. Not sure where I would feel pain if that level was really bad. Any ideas?

Terry -- Trying like heck to nail down a date to get up there. Cyndie's scheduled seems to be changing daily. Quiznos seems to flip flop on how they want the inspections performed.

Kathy -- Thanks and WOW, nice picture you have..

    Support New series of injections

Monday I start with my pain management clinic. 1st appointment is 2 hours so the docs can go over my MRI films and report, gather medical history and start injections. One of the things I like about this clinic,( Cyndie currently goes there), is that the administer Versed 1/2 hour before the injections. Me being the wimp that I am when it comes to needles, this will definitely help.

I'm not sure if they will administer medication for use after, but I'm hoping they will give me something other than the Darvacet that I'm currently taking. They really do not help with the pain I have 24/7.

I will report more on Monday afternoon. Cyndie was supposed to leave to Detroit for a week tomorrow, but now she will be leaving after my appointment. She's so nice to have changed her plans for me, AGAIN.
