    Default MRI's this morning

Well, this morning I am having the new MRI's on my cervical and lumbar. Please pray for clarity on these diagnostic tests, and that the doc and I can come to an agreement about treatment, or whatever is next. Thank-you, Cindylou

Will do. I will be having an MRI on Tues. and then scheduled for a orthopaedic spine specialist locally. My primary care doc suggested it. When I told him I'd been on spinepatientsociety.org and mentioned a few of the things I'd learned that might help my back, he was impressed and said to mention them to the specialist. I don't expect much but it will be interesting to learn what they have to say. I'm not in much pain now so it's not an emergency to make a decision.
    Diagnosis:
    Degenerative disc disease throughout spine
Generalized disc bulging with mild narrowing of thecal sac in L2-L3, L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1.
    Moderate spinal stenosis L4-L5
    Foraminal narrowing
    Recent compression Fx at T10,T11.
    Treatment:
    Spinal decompression 2007
Cortisone injection in lower back in 2010
    Relieved of pain for now
    Hope for ADR

Hope your MRI's give you & your doc a successful path to pain-free living. Do you get instantaneous results in the US?

Thank-you guys. Ruth, they gave me the CD while I waited. I will pick up (faster than them mailing it) the 2 reports Monday.

Hi CL, did they happen to have a preliminary read on the study?

    Cindylou,

You're in my prayers that the new MRIs will provide clarity, and a successful way forward for you. I can tell from your past posts that you are a strong, positive person, and I know you'll persevere until you are free of pain and limitations. I'm new to this group, but already feel stronger just from reading the great sharing that you and others have provided. Thanks!

I had recent MRI of lumbar & cervical, and digital motion x-ray of cervical area. Slight scoliosis in both lumbar and thoracic spine. Recent consultation w/ neurosurgeon about lumbar showed DDD; he said "one disc space is about half what it should be, and the rest are pretty much gone -- this looks like someone ten years older who has smoked for 40 years." I've never smoked.

Thank you Dawn and all. No preliminary report Justin and I'm not bothering to view the CD cuz I'm not a radiologist. So, the ole' hurry up and wait routine. My insurance finally approved the lumbar facet rizotomy, found out yesterday, so that is scheduled for next Wednesday.
