Texas Back ...

Hi All
I am at that point to go and see some of the heavy hitters,my condition is getting bad and I have had it going for a new MRI next week ans sending all my information to the Texax Back Dr Guryer
Does anyone have experience with him or TBI and if so what was your experience and Surgicial outcome?
I would possibly need to fuse L5-S1,L4-L5 and ADR at L3-L4

Dear Gilbert,
I am so sorry you are having a lot of spine problems. I wanted to chime in because I had surgery at Texas Back eight weeks ago. I live in Nashville so I have to fly back and forth as required by the clinical trial. I am so happy to do this because I LOVE THAT PLACE. Dr. Zigler is my surgeon. My experience there has been healthcare as it should be. I have a surgeon here in Tennessee whom I really trust and admire. The problem is his support staff. His clinical assistant is possibly the most unpleasant individual in the world.....kind of like a snapping turtle. (sorry for my rant) I tell you this because a surgeon's support staff is SO IMPORTANT. You deal with them most of the time. I am always able to get in touch with Dr. Zigler's nurse. They are top notch.

I think it is worth your time to go to Texas. Kathy (Kbear) posted an article from a Dallas newspaper not too long ago about them.....very impressive.

Hey Gil,
Just saw this, TBI is great and I love them. I go to both of their offices, the one in Plano and the one in Denton. I go to the Plano one for my clinical trial follow up and the Denton one for my pain management dr. All of the people are really nice and there is never much of a wait (if one at all).... and they have really comfy chairs in the waiting area. I always have to take my youngest with me to appointments and they are so sweet to her, they even let her go in for x-rays and hold her behind the protective glass where she can see me; but be protected from the radiation. It's a great place. If you want more info, I can pm you my number and you can call me. I have never heard anything bad about them and they win a lot of local awards.

I have done lots of reading on TBI and all with good stuff, Also plenty of info on this site, Will have MRI next week and send my info to Cheryl

Hey Gil,

I think Dr. Guyer is a great surgeon and a first-class guy. He's extremely skilled at what he does and he truly cares about his patients. I saw him for a surgical evaluation in 2003 and I met with him in 2009 during my Dad's consult.
