The Coflex is Totally Investigational, Yeah Right Interesting link I found Help Ellen DeGeneres avoid back surgery! | Facebook. Samuel Jackson talksabout his coflex and trying to get ellen to get back surgery. She is smart and says I will do everything to avoid back surgery. But, if one indeed has to get back surgery I would say the coflex has to be a heck of a lot better than any fusion, but its just experimental according to our good ole fda and insurance, ha ha . This device works better than fusion, period.
Riding 4 wheeler and playing basketball. Collide with guy in mid air and I hit concrete on one leg and then fall down. Wake up in pain cant move for few hours, fine few days later. Back never the same.

Re: The Coflex is Totally Investigational, Yeah Right I wish there were more talk of interspinous spacers as well. In some cases they can help avoid segment alteration (fusion, adr, microdiscectomy) altogether by helping carry / support spine load.

Advanced model of Coflex device is used for dynamic stabilization.
And it the end - Coflex is used in Europe and Croatia for a long time, with very good results. And it can never replace fusion for most of patients.
Re: The Coflex is Totally Investigational, Yeah Right Keano, I know its not a fix all for all. But I would suspect for quite a few this device or the wallis would do the trick. The wallis device trial for information is december this year. Im sure it will be 5 more years till fda approved then 20 for insurance to cover it here in usa. I know back surgery devices alot of times dont live up to hype, but call me crazy a device such as wallis with over 15 years of being used I would think would show if it was a disaster. Plus, this sugery is minimally invasive and reversible unlike fusion or adr. Time for FDA to wake up if you ask me. This isnt a cosmetic procedure we can play around with for a million years and again its "simple" compared to other spine operations. Also on a side note keano, I went to your site and saw you too are an economics man, what you think about the keynesian policies?
