I am getting MRI results this week. I know L3/4 is bulging and there is some facet hypertrophy. With the way it was injured (yardwork with an ax and chainsaw), it could have been a sprain I guess. I have started PT with extension/flexion machine and decompression machine. I will also continue with prolotherapy to strengthen the lumbar and SI ligaments. Hope it resolves itself. NO more surgery!!! I do hope Regenexx gets back to its disc procedures though as they seem to get great results.

Have you investigated Fibrin Sealant, Rob?
As always it's difficult to find definitive studies on such early-on methods. There are a couple of guys on adr support who've been through fibrin treatment, one patient from Hawaii. Both of them were pleased with the results but noted 6 weeks of added discomfort before the benefits kicked in.
I really don't know where stem is headed in the short term. It seems studies suggest it's reasonably advantageous to the recipient while the government explains it's unproven and a potential racket. As well, some will explain stem is threatening to big pharma, thus, the FDA is squelching stem treatment, etc.
I have no idea, but if history is a reference, profit preservation is certianly effecting some aspect of the maneuvering

Carson,
Thanks for the tips on fibrin sealant. I will check it out. By the way, I have used the Regenexx procedure for my knee and shoulder with good results. This is not a sham.

Not surprising. Regenexx had just come out with a new procedure requiring only 2 days. This was going to dramatically increase their popularity. Im sure this will drag on for a few years while people suffer. Im sure fda will drag out mesblast stuff a lonnnnnnnnnnng time. That is really the good stuff!! Although, it still may cause cancer lol but when it comes to alternatives such as fusion or major surgery one is willing to take such minute chances. If they think it is so bad, why would a top neurosurgeron from pittsburg get it on his knees. Obviously, the man doesnt want to die but doesnt want knee replacement. I would think he knows a little bit about the research and he sure seemed all willing to put his life on the line for top notch treatment. But fda gets blamed both ways i guess so they do have a point. Some argue they are too liberal. I would argure that was devices though and not stem cells. Just wish i was born in 100 years when this stem cells are all figured out and mastered lol.
Riding 4 wheeler and playing basketball. Collide with guy in mid air and I hit concrete on one leg and then fall down. Wake up in pain cant move for few hours, fine few days later. Back never the same.

I agree, Rob, in fact I've been considering ADCT (Autologous Disc Chondrocyte Transplantation) treatment.
