    This is one example that writing and helping others over internet has many bad sides. You are one example of this. Suspecting without any abvious fact tells enough about this. On other part, surfing for Dr Yeung and his references and work explains and protects my words very well.

    Of course I am referring everyone to dr Yeung and some other surgeons. Of course! What would be expected to do, refer people to other surgeons for traditional spine surgery, and put them among 30-40 % of people that suffer from pain after traditional surgery?

    No, I won't. I'll remain a “friend“ of minimally invasive spine surgery and surgeons that provide this to us. This is the future and only right way.

    Keano, can you spell out your relationship with the surgeons you are promoting? Do you receive monetary incentives from them? Have they supplied any materials / resources for your for-profit business?

    Fortunately, medicine is ever-changing and there is no "right way" for all patients.

    If anyone else can recommend anyone, I'd really appreciate it.
    Sounds good. Something to think about -- don't feel "rushed" to squeeze a surgery in so that you can go to South Africa. Surgery is forever and, believe me, you want to get it right.

    Remember to think long-term -- take Africa out of the equation. Just my two cents when it comes to invasive, forever-changing spine surgery.

    @Jason
    - NO.

    I just wanted to help Mike to:
    - become a patient of spine surgeon that is leader in this field (MISS);
    - to save money by going abroad for treatment.

    All other conclusions are based on pure speculation, lack of knowledge and intolerance.

    I don't want to sounds like i'm freaking out, but I am pretty knowledgeable on internet marketing tactics, and I'm pretty sure Keano is promoting Dr. Yeung for a reason other than what he states. I'm not saying these tactics are wrong in general, but when in comes to medicine, it's a whole different story. I'm sure Dr. Yeung is a very experienced surgeon, but I have completely erased him from the list of possibilities.

    Justin, you are right, I have to be patient here. But, my doctor in my country recommended that I get the surgery as soon as possible to avoid having to deal with pain during my trip. Although if my sciatica pain levels lessen before my anticipated surgery date, I will definitely postpone it!

    I'm still open to other possibilities! Anyone that has had this procedure done, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

    Thank you.

    Announcement Re: Micro-Endoscopic Discectomy with Laser Application - Which Doctor?

    I will be postponing the Discectomy decision until July/August. I feel that Justin is correct, I shouldn't rush things. Also, this will give my stem cells a chance to do their magic. Besides, it's sitting that screws with me.. I should just avoid that as much as possible.

    Cheers everyone, and good luck.

    Well, good for you Mike. Now you can take the necessary time to really think it all through....not that you hadn't already, but you won't feel so rushed. I hope the stem cell procedure kicks in with more relief too. Hang in there and good luck on your trip!

    Hey Mike,

    I think it is smart to "not jump the gun" at this point. I mentioned taking time with your decision to have surgery because you are so young. I was in your exact shoes at one point -- I was 17 and facing my first spine surgery. It's easy to think "I'll just have surgery and move on with my life." Now, if you had a huge herniation that was causing functional deficits and your quality of life was awful (bedridden, difficulty with daily tasks, etc.), then I would move forward with surgery.

    The only reason I mention to tread cautiously is that once you have surgery, your body changes forever. I know it's tough, but try and think 10, 20, 30...50 years down the road. Give yourself the best possible chance at living a pain-free life without rushing a decision at this point in your life.

    I wish you the very best.

    Beautiful words justin. Thank you for everything.

    By the way, I'm still investigating procedures. Someone mentioned the accurascope procedure at North American Spine in Dallas, Tx. Sounds interesting!
