Why couldnt they invent some type of artificial anulus that you can fold up and then slide into place through an edoscope tube and have some type of attachment to the vertebrae. Then, the artificial anulus having a valve u then inject stuff such as nucore's gel in, thus making the artificial disc truly minimally invasive. This may be pointless though as they are coming with this regeneration of the disc stuff soon. I would guess in the future adrs will only be used for discs in which the vertebrae are out of alighment and thus require some shifting of the vertebrae back into alignment. Also, they should hurry up and come out with computers that can scan the mris and then have the computer use some math to select the best options for the adrs. I know they are working on it though.
