I received a "courtesy review" (meaning not a formal consult) from MicroSpine in Florida. They believe my foraminal stenosis is the most likely cause ... and they recommend Transfacet Laminoforaminoplasty. An explanation of the procedure was not provided and all I know so far is that it is a minimally invasive, endoscopic procedure. A google search turned up pretty dry, which is very unusual. Of course, I will ask them to explain the procedure in detail, but any independent information about the procedure would sure be helpful.
I will say that after having had invasive spinal surgery, I sure like the ideal of minimally invasive
But unfortunately, it would only address one of the three main spinal problems I have so I'm just not sure if it's the best solution. It would also help to have an insurance authorization in my hands as well.
One of my best friends in high school referred me to MicroSpine because she received measurable relief from the procedure they did for her. I am curious if anyone else has experience with them or has had this procedure. If so, I would really appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,
K
