Default what to do in the meantime to rehydrate disc

I have been told so many time by PT's to drink more water and take fish oli with omega 3 and also that the intake of shark cartilage is good. Sounds far fetched. Does anybody have some insight? Oh, and also I have heard about drinking coconut milk. All this health store stuff can get overwhelming!

It's discouraging when you don't get any answers to a question, isn't it.

To be honest, I haven't heard any benefits from coconut milk, but shark cartilage and the others are often used with great success on animal joint problems . Our vet backs it up, along with other similar additives. Contrary to humans, animals can't fake it when it comes to feeling better (well, not often)

When we switched our old dog onto one of the joint mobility foods, he went from barely being able to get up and walk around to running and jumping into the back of the car. We almost put him down because he was so miserable, but we were able to enjoy another couple of years with him after the switch.

While I don't have scientific backing for such things, the end result is what convinces me. I usually spend so much time and money on making my critters feel better that I don't take the time to do the same for myself
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!
