    Adding more information...

Here's a related thread: Happy Days!!!! Anthem BC/BS, Artificial Disc Replacement (In-Network Reimbursement, Stenum):
Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield just reimbursed me 100% less my deductible for my 2 level ADR at Stenum in Germany!!!!! Stenum is a BCBS preferred provider so they even considered in-network! WOW!!! I am shocked and thrilled. The key words used are "medical necessity" when you approach your insurance company. Hope for everyone.
By the way, the explanation of benefits attachment above is only viewable if you are logged in.

This is incredible--reimbursement for a 2-level Lumbar Artificial Disc Replacement surgery in Germany that was paid In-Network.

    Justin:

It seems as though Stenum is an approved provider for disc replacement surgery. My four level was paid for by BC/BS of Michigan. They considered Stenum to be; "In network."

Anyone that would like my statement of payment, for a possible appeal on your part, can request this information from me personally by PM. I am more than happy to provide this information, free of charge, as I am hoping that it will make a difference by showing that a precedent has been set by other insurance providers.
