I don't know of anyone who has gone there, but someone on the list has gone to Spain, I think. Sorry I can't be of more help.
I find it simply amazing how far we can and have to travel for good spine care!

Has anyone looked into traveling to Israel for ADR? I ask because I ran into the Israel option on a medical tourism site, and after contacting an Israeli hospital, was quoted a price of less than $10,000 for a single level ADR.
I don't think Israeli surgeons would have as much experience as German with ADR. And I don't yet know if either the M6 or the Neodisc is available in Israel. But the price for ADR surgery is a good deal less than in Germany, comparable to that in India. And Israel, like Germany, is a rich country with a very sophisticated science and technology sector, and internationally eminent universities and medical schools.
I should think that the leading Israeli surgeons might have some hundreds of ADRs under their belt. But right now I'm just guessing and can't say for sure. And I don't know how to identify the leading ADR surgeons in Israel other than by contacting their leading medical centers, one by one--I think there would be no more than 4 or 5 centers to contact in all. Any ideas on that score would be appreciated. Might the ADR device cos. have a list of experienced Israeli surgeons?
A herniated and serverely degenerated cervical disc C6-7 seems to cause all my symptoms. In the past year, the disc immediately below C6-7 also began showing up as some 90% degenerated. But it does not appear to be causing any symptoms as yet.
My surgeon recommended replacing both discs with 2 Prodiscs. My insurance refused coverage.
Should I do surgery? Pay cash for replacement? In Germany? Which surgeon and artificial disc? One level or two?

Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things. Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!
Its not all about money.
Try surgeon Reuven Gepstein, if he does ADR's. He is one of most experienced surgeons there.
