    Jeff,

No, the kids haven't locked in on the actual wedding date yet, but are committed to a "May" wedding, after his return. So at least we have the month down!

My step son wrote this under his profile pic on his Facebook page, and every time I read it, I just choke up: "just another G.I. Joe who would do anything for his beloved country...." Ya gotta love these kids who put everything down to serve the great US of A. I just love this kid. God bless them all!

We don't know yet where he will be, but will post as we find things out, along the way.

Cindy, don't you dare block off another weekend in May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But send on my congratulations to your boy and his fiance. It is a pretty fabulous time....I married my oldest off almost three years ago, and it was so special...definitely another phase in everyone's lives.

Jeff, this can not help but be a tremendously stressful time for your son and family. When my husband goes away for a week, I am a mess. They are so much stronger than I am.

And thanks for the recognition of every one of NATO's partners in this war. For us, it is a tremendous change of duty, as we are traditionally in a Peacekeeping role. My sister-in-law just came back from a six month tour over there, in a service position working with all of the troops, but just missed being killed. She was supposed to be on the flight back from an outpost that didn't make it back.

Alison, you must be so very proud of your daughter, and I don't know how you hold it together at times. I would go into ostrich mode, I think. I'm proud of both of you. This whole group to be honest.
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

No worries Katie......the month of "May" I am referring to for the kids wedding is 2011 or 2012! haha!!! We married off our middle son 3 years ago last November, and our oldest the following October. I love watching my family grow again!
