Apples are my most favorite fruit. We have some huge orchards in Northern Michigan so we go every year to pick a few bushels. Fresh chunky applesauce with Cinnamon, fresh apple cider with cake donuts and apple slices dipped in caramel. Oh so good.
Now I'm hungry dang it.

Alison, sorry I just now saw this. I have been off. Yes, except it doesn't even have to be that fussy. If you like the nuts, sure, but usually no nuts are added to apple crisp, nor rasberries, lemon zest etc., however, that said, your recipe looks delicious! Give it a go.....you probably already did.

Its in the jars, made one big one and one small one - an amazing way to reduce a huge pile of apples down to something very small. It tastes amazing, hubbie is pulling his face at the thought of it, but apples are his favourite things so I think he'll end up succumbing.

Alison, isn't it amazing how much fruit and such cooks down? Maple syrup boils down from 10 gallons of sap to one gallon of syrup, I believe. It is so worth it though.
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things
