    KBear-

You are a wise and courageous woman. Shopping the days after Christmas is insane; however, I know those are the best ever sales available. I can't imagine never seeing snow. Although, I would have no problem at all giving it all up for warmer weather all year round. I'm sick of winter. It particularly sucks for people with spinal issues. The ground is slick-icy and snowy. Way too easy to fall in the winters around here. This I seriously don't need and I am feeling trapped by all that snow right now.

LOL to the highlighted! It is insane and crazy; but I love a good bargain!
I have seen snow, just nothing like that. We get an inch or two (we had 3 inches last year, which is the most it has ever snowed here, in my life (and I was born and raised here), it snows once a year (sometimes 2 times a year and sometimes not at all). I have never seen a snow drift, or more than 3 inches of snow, don't have a clue what 'snow shoeing' is, and probably wouldn't survive a week up North! LOL

Totally cool websites Dave! I simply cannot imagine hanging all those lights. And how the heck did the people get their lights to do that????

When I lived in the Chicago area, there's a suburb that people line up for miles to see every year. At least they did when I was younger. I want to say it might have been Forest Park or something like that. Here's the website you can go to in order to locate the Christmas light shows in the Chicagoland area.

I love it! You guys will probably yell at me (I know my wife was), but at about 5-weeks post-op, I was up on a ladder hanging my lights. Not nearly as nice as yours, but still the best on the block.

Thank you. But, once again, shame on you! I'm glad you felt good enough to go on a ladder and hang lights, so early out of surgery; but that was risky. I'm glad that you didn't get hurt. I wasn't anywhere near thinking about doing much of anything at 5 weeks post op, so that just blows my mind, even wanting to, much less doing it.
