"Dream" Hobby

This is a discussion on "Dream" Hobby within the The Lounge forums, part of the Social and Support Forums category; I still love this topic. It's good to dream. It gets your endorphins going, you forget about the crummy stuff ...

I still love this topic. It's good to dream. It gets your endorphins going, you forget about the crummy stuff if even for awhile, and besides, dreams can and do come true.

Dave, that is awesome w/ your rock climbing experience. My oldest son, the one who is the Dad of Tully, is a huge rock climber too. Even with his busy work schedule and fairly recent fathering duties, he manages to squeeze in at least 2, 3 times a week. His upper body is rock (no pun intended!) solid, and he jokingly will refer to his triceps as his "bad boys." hehe! He's a kick. I hope you do get to do that again one day.

My dream is still downhill skiing again one day. And I just may be getting closer to some gentle runs down the slopes with my new BFF! (Tens Unit!)

Dreaming is wonderful and sometimes they do come true,

I just spent four days working at a high level race as a starter, and yes I made some turns to get back to the bottom.

I had a blast even though on one day it was negative 20 below zero

Yay!! Yay for you Gil!! Does it really get that cold there in Wyoming? I did not know that. I thought I was one of the only nuts on here that lived in a state with such drastic, below zero temperatures!!

Yes, I vote for skiing and golf! Of course I still can't wait to start running again . . . .

I am now two months post-op and, surprisingly, I feel like I could probably do all of the above right now! Only problem is that while I FEEL great, I KNOW that my fusion has a long ways to go before it is healed. Surgeon says to listen to my body and my body (maybe it is just my mind) is saying "Let's go!"
