    Default drunk on Spring!

So we were off the grid for the weekend, up at the cabin. The weather was spectacular. The dock guys got the dock in. Hopefully, we'll have the fishin' boat in by next weekend. I couldn't wait. Just fished off the dock. It felt great just to sit in the sun, cast, and have my goofy golden retriever go nuts trying to catch the line in the air. After a long winter, my heart is beating faster with spring in the air. I have much to be thankful for.

Wow, Cindylou! Your post almost made me feel as if I was at your cabin. I can dream, right?

Here in Philly it is finally Spring, but we had a couple days of Summer first (we had a heat wave [3 days of 90+ temps]). It is raining a bit, but I'll take that over 90+ humid heat any day!

Hopefully, you'll be able to post pictures of the new dock soon!

    Default As long as....

the dog doesn't catch the fly on the end of the line

What a wonderful way to spend the weekend. We've had a little of both worlds here, with a heat wave for a couple of days, and now real spring has set in, with cooler days and the tulip festival just starting.

I love, love, love gardening and am trying to do just a little, but have to settle for supervising my dear husband's efforts..who is not a gardener, but who loves me enough to try

We have a couple of acres of gardens to restore on the homestead farm we bought not long ago, and some new big ones to establish with all the black gold compost our horses help provide

This and fall are my favourite times of year. No bugs yet!

Just rode 31 miles on my bicycle after work today. The temperature was supposed to be in the low 70's but it was much colder riding right beside Lake Michigan. It sure was nice being on the bicycle though. Life is good.

I am happy to all who have posted here that have something to be grateful for. There is enough negativity already in the world. Here's a post that reminds us that it could be worse.

Katie, the couple of acres sounds really nice!

Terry, man am I jealous of your bike ride. That sounds really good right now as opposed to surgery in 2 weeks! Spring has such a feeling of renewal and I am so blessed to have such a talented surgeon perform my surgery and "renew" me.

Life could be much, much worse.

BTW Terry, only 31 miles, eh? It's early in the season for you. I'm used to hearing like 80 miles...you're a machine my man.
