Default FREE Hugs! Thanks SPS. Have a good weekend.

When I read here and other forums I'm often staggered by the obstacles we face. Even more overwhelming and clear to me, however, is the strength we can realize collectively when we work together to help one another through. A video to wish you a good weekend and thank you all for reaching out across the globe with compassion and help for one another.

Carson, maybe it is the heat and humidity, but I have tears running down my cheeks after watching this.

Hallelujah, written by the great Canadian Leonard Cohen (but love kd lang's version the best ) is my absolute favourite song, and is a perfect match to this video.

In case you haven't figured out long ago from my ramblings and excessive smilies , I'm a hugger, a big hugger who wears her heart on her sleeve. To top it all off, this video was done in Italy, where my youngest daughter will soon be living, so very far away from me. She got so annoyed at the airport when I didn't want to let go

So you've brought out just about every emotion I could want right now....good or sad, but it is a great way to start the weekend. Hugs just bring out the smiles, and sometimes tears, but it's just so good either way.

    Thank you.

I think I can speak for the group in saying you are most welcome for the help you have received by joining our family and helping support one another through very tough painful times of our lives.

What a cool video. I was getting worried in the beginning that it was going to end up with nobody getting any hugs.....boy was I wrong (and glad of it). If I didn't know any better I would have thought they were in downtown Nuremberg, Germany but from the language on the buildings and signs I dont think it's Germany.

So, glad we can help and I wish the best of luck for you!

it must be very hot and humid in the UK too as I am having a blub after watching that. (its a little bit warm but certainly not a heatwave!)

Hubbie and I are laid in bed and watching it has made us both smile. Super big hugs back and to everyone who I am privileged to know through this awesome site. Have a wonderful weekend. x

Now I know I already used up my chance to post a reply to this but after I watched the video and posted my reply I watched it 3 more times. Its just a simple, sweet and to the point video. Brings a true meaning to the phrase, "less is more" because all it took for them to show off the compassionate and friendly side of human beings was to hold up a sign and tell people were offering free hugs.....way cool and I like it

So super big XOXOXOXO to my family on the SPS.....I couldn't have made it to where I am today without you all. So.....to everyone that I care and love for (and get the same back), Thank You So Much for being my unconditional, unbiased, unjudgemental, always-there-for-me, best friends that never let me down and pulled me in and helped walk me through the "honest-to-god" toughest times of my 24 year old life. All the money in the world couldn't buy the friendship you find on this site and thats a good thing because I dont want some severely wealthy person to come by and scoop yall up away from me

Like I said 5 sentences ago, sorry to double clap on this thread but after being up all night (6:50 am, still haven't been able to fall asleep since Thursday night) and reading through a bunch of old posts from around when I first became a member I was overwhelmed with awe and amazement of how quickly and kind everyone was to grab my hand and pull me into the
site to join the ever-growing family and make me one of their own. It makes me so proud to be able to do the same thing for others and give back the help that I've recieved from so many over the last year and change. I guess I need to make an American version of the hug video now.....too soon from surgery to fly to Italy but I'd really like to make a video just like this to see (and hope) if I can achieve the same results state-side as they did overseas.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.....this video clip was a great way to start it out. Plus, if I start feeling the blues coming on now I know where to turn to and what to watch to turn that frown upside down ....haven't used that phrase in YEARS!!!!!!!

    Take care everyone!
    Love Greg!

Greg, I can't imagine anyone walking away from a hug from you

I just want to echo all of your sentiments (without having to type so much ), and take a second post to thank EVERYONE on this board for the help and encouragement over these past few years. I couldn't have done it without you!

Carson, outstanding video......Halleluha (sp) is my most favorite song of all time. I can listen to it over and over and over again, and never grow weary. It just makes me want to fall on my knees and give thanks. Now I want to find me a big old rock down by the lake to sit on, and have me a good ole' cry.

Carson - that's a great clip & the music it's set to couldn't be better. It brought a tear to my eye & made me feel so humbled & grateful to have found such an understanding & friendly community to help get me through the awful process of spinal surgery & the long drawn out rehab that's entailed.

    Wishing everybody & happy weekend!
