    Default Harry Potter

Well, I'm one of the few that has not read the series. My wife recently did--all of the books in like 3 weeks (she's nuts ). Anyway, I was able to sit through the movie today. This movie has definitely moved HP from a "kids" movie up to adult.

    Anyone else see it?

No, but my niece & cousin did. They both were younger when the books started and they have read everyone as they came out. Both are now 21 and will wait at midnight for book releases and show up at midnight to theaters. We like to harass them for this....

I have read all the books, and seen all the movies so far (in fact we have all of the released films on DVD and Blu-ray). I just went to see the new one last night. This one was actually more comedic than previous ones, but with the characters getting older the themes are getting more serious, in some ways. They actually left some of the more adult parts of the book out of the movie, of course there was no way they could include everything, the books are just too long and detailed. But I have to say I was disappointed that they didn't include the big battle at Hogwarts in the movie, it left the ending feeling a little less perilous feeling than I felt it should have been.

HP6 is my fav so far. Great pacing, comedy, directing, effects and actions. But, Dumbledor was bad and deatheaters look like just pranksters. Sir Michael Gambon is a great actor, but he is no Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. He really should read the books.

I agree, best movie so far. It was done very well. Tiff was upset with the Dumbledore--Harry--Severus sequence played out (she said it was much different in the book).
