Well over 100F here with the humidity, but the news said that New York is about ten degrees more than us

This and the bugs are the only thing I don't like about living here. Even living by the ocean, the humidity wasn't this bad...it was always moderate. I never thought that I would like winter better than summer, but this has changed my mind about that. We should be losing lots of weight from all the perspiring!
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

    Heat Wave

Here in the mountains it was a cool 71 and 32 in the A.M Our summer just started about two weeks ago and will be over by the last week in August.

Todd I know from experience the heat in Maine combined with the stickey muggy air is torture, stay in the pool.

    She's too cute Todd!

Wow, this is a first that us Texans are enjoying more mild weather than the Northerners. We have had quite a bit of rain lately, which has taken our usual 100+ degree temps to the 80's during the day and 70's in the night. I actually had a jacket on, on the 4th watching fireworks, it was cool.

Gil- My dad is going to be in Driggs, ID next month visiting my brother. Are you guys having an increase of bears in your area? They live on the mountain and had one the other day that was all over their porch and such (hence why my mom is not going with my dad ).

    Hi KBear

Yes we have a lot of BEARS in the area but it is really not an issue the wolves and mt. lions are much worse tell your Mother not to fear and come, it is the most beautiful place in the states. Tell your parents their are no more Indians and it is very safe to come here.

If your parents would like to contact me I could send U a P.M. for my personal information.

She has come before, I came when I was pregnant with my now 4.5 year old. It is beautiful, but I'm not crazy about the bear idea either. I know they have had to have the parks and wildlife come out and relocate a grizzly a time or two that just kept coming back. Plus, seeing as how they don't have central air, they leave the windows open at night and the basement is finished for guests, a bit scary that they could just come in. I don't even like bugs, so bears are way out of the question (we are not the nature type). LOL
