So, hubby and I have been together for almost 10 years now. Which means, for 10 years I have been telling him how much I would love a surprise birthday party, never had one. Every year, I would get my hopes up, only to be disappointed. Well, it only took him 10 years; but he finally did it. He got me really good, totally surprised me.... I had given up on ever getting that surprise party. I had asked him to take me out on Saturday for my 30th birthday, which is this coming Friday, March 5th. I got a babysitter and invited some friends. I was totally non-suspicious, as it was my idea to go out. He said he had to stop at the our neighborhood pool to meet his sprinkler guy and I thought nothing of it. We get there and surprise, the recreation center is full of all my friends and family! It was so much fun. My mom, sister, brother, grandparents, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, friends I haven't seen in forever, nieces, nephews, tons of people. They did it a week early, knowing I would not be suspecting anything... and they were right. It was so good getting to see everyone and socialize. I actually got to drink too! Since I'm not on all the drugs anymore, no fear of killing my liver and kidneys.... I like those organs, need to keep them around for a long time! LOL
After the party, 10 of us went out to a club and partied some more. We then finished up at Ihop for a middle of the night breakfast. Finally got home at 4:30am. Realize I am waaay too old to party like that anymore. I am still tired from it; but it was worth it.... haven't done that in forever and won't be doing it again for a long time!
