Joe had his colonoscopy and endonoscopy today. Everything looked really good, some bad hemrhoids (sp?) and acid reflux; but other than that nothing looked alarming. They took biopsies and it will be a couple of weeks before those results are in; but the dr. didn't act like he expected them to be anything other than normal. It's good news that it looks like no colon cancer; but know we are back at square one on trying to figure out what is wrong with him. The weight loss is the biggest concern, he went from 220 lbs 6'2" to 189 lbs. We were told to have him take the new medication for a month, if the weight loss continues, symptoms continue or worsen, then come and see the dr. again. I'm not really sure what they will check next. The thyroid tests also came in and they were normal. All of his bloodwork, stool samples and urine analysis were normal. Hubby is trying to eat healthier (less red meat in his case, we eat steak at least twice a week), though we do eat a lot of fruits and veggies. He is also supposed to start taking fiber daily. He is not going to drink anymore (which he didn't really drink much to start with; but it's worth a shot to rule it out...... no wine with dinner for him! LOL).
Thank you all so very much for the prayers and well wishes and hopefully this will all clear up on it's own. I'm thinking that maybe as it progressed, he worried more, which caused more stress, which probably caused more symptoms (crossing my fingers that is it).
