Default I've gone and done it now!

.....dropped my Iphone in the lake tonight while fishing! Apparently I had it in the top compartment of my tackle box and thought it was zipped closed.....when I flipped it up to get out a new hook......I heard a big splash and everything went flying out of that compartment and into the lake! I managed to snag everything with the net except the phone. It sunk too fast! So don't call me, k?!

Oh Cindylou, I feel your pain!

The day before our first wedding anniversary, my husband and I were out on a lake with friends, and he put his hand in the cold water. Off slipped his wedding ring . He has torpedo shaped fingers that are not easy to fit. We both almost cried.

I have since offered to get him a new one, but he said it wouldn't be the same...it wouldn't be the one from our wedding.

Hopefully your phone doesn't have such sentimental meanings Happy hunting for a newer and better model! (I know how much information is stored on those things and what a bother it will be to replace...just trying to lighten the mood )

Maybe with the next one you can put it in a ziploc bag and attach a bobber to it!

Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

I feel your pain as well.....I have gone through SOOOOO many phones it's ridiculous. I cant remember the name of the company but they make a waterproof ziploc bag for the iPhone but its not super loose like a bag, kind of tight and you can use and talk on the phone like normal but it saves it if it goes in the water. Might be a worth while investment or maybe the programs that back up all your data for such an event

I had some issues with making my phones friends with the intercoastal waterway when I first bought my boat
    1. Went boating, set my phone on the dock with other stuff to get everything loaded....next thing I know I hear splash as I've kicked it in
    2. Next week, new phone, trying to take extra precautions, went to launch the boat (same place) so before I backed it in the water I was on the phone and told the person I had to go b/c of last weeks incident, set the phone on the back seat IN the boat, backed the boat up and hit a pothole that bounced the phone right out of the seat and into the water
    3. Next week, new phone again, trying to take extra extra extra precautions because work is not liking me losing all these phones, I put it in a waterproof, crushproof pelican case before launching the boat....SUCCESS! FINALLY! While were out in the ocean fishing for sharks (and we cauht a 5 foot, 150 lb one). So I HAD to take the phone out to take a picture. I held the gaf along the side of the boat for a picture to be taken of me and this monster shark, the guy taking the picture looses his footing, falls into his seat and AWAYYYYYYYY the phone goes for 3 straight weeks in a row
      1. But to my defense the last time wasnt my fault but I was still the one who had to tell my boss that I needed my third new phone 3 weeks in a row.....they werent the happiest but oh well, sh*t happens!
    So, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

    That looks awesome Greg!

I don't think there is any issue with posting this, as we have done the same thing with models of chairs, etc. Unless the rules have changed since the SPS has been changed to it's new status. ???

I didn't think there was a rule against it but I just know I've has posts deleted on other forums stating there is no advertising so I wanted to make sure Justin knew I wasn't trying to break a rule if it was in place.

Well, Greg. What can i say (that your boss hasn't already said?). However, I've lost about 100 pairs of sunglasses and at least 8 tops or bottoms to my warm up sets. Don't get any ideas about the "lost bottoms". A group of us plays at a tennis club and afterwards we go out to dinner. Sometimes it has gotten warmer by the time we get to a restaurant and I take off the bottoms (with shorts underneath) or leave my tops on the back of a chair. None have ever shown up in a lost and found. I've lost many other things or at least they are misplaced and haven't shown up. We do go boating occasionally but so far I've never lost a cell phone.

Oh CL- No fun. Is this a new one after your cracked the glass last week? Or the same one? I didn't get an Iphone forever because I hated that they didn't offer insurance on them and I am so hard on phones. I finally got my first one (I'm addicted to it now )and am anxiously awaiting the Otterbox for it to come out. The otterbox isn't pretty and it's big and bulky, but I have heard so much good about them and how tough they are. Here is a link http://www.otterbox.com/iphone-cases...r-series-case/

I have left phones on the top of my car and lost/annihilated it. A few have had the fate of spilling coffee on them, some lost to the toilet (hence why I never put a phone in my back pocket anymore) and then of course just dropped them until the were ruined.

The OtterBox is FREAKIN AWESOME except for its bulkiness but thats why they have a belt clip mount thingy for them. I have always said I should be a product tester for durability because if theres a way to break something, I usually figure it out. I have broken most of the phones I have had and got an OtterBox for my BlackBerry Curve 8530 and LOVE IT! You can run your phone over with a car (if its in the OtterBox) and it will be perfectly fine. I show people all the time how good it works by taking my phone and throwing it against a wall Well, I dont do that anymore because my luck the next time I do it something will happen but it has stood up to the "Greg-test" and passed with flying colors.

I hope you can get one for your phone and know you will enjoy the comfort of knowing its safe.
