    Default Listening in....

I'm downstairs and I am hearing the kids converstation upstairs, here it is:
Emma (5yrs) to Ava: "Stand up, stand up"
    Ava (3yrs): "No"
    Emma: "Come on, stand up"
Ava: "I can't my BACK is broken"
Emma: "Well then, I'll carry you on my back"
    Ava: "ok"

OMG- I think Ava might have more back issues than me, to hear her tell it. I will ask her to do something and she will say "my back hurts, I need to lay down". She is going to be like the giraffe (Melman) on Madagascar, who is always sick and getting MRI's, CAT scans, etc.

I bet if you ask her if she wants a big needle to make it better, that may help her symptoms Gotta love them, and what they pick up from us
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

The big needle is my usual threat, when they are crying hysterically over a minor injury, I'll say "well, I guess I need to take you to the hospital for a shot" Then, they magically get better.
