Massage Chairs: have you found one that you really like?

My car was way overdue for its service. I was nervous taking it in since I'd have 1.5 hours to kill by either sitting or walking, and can only handle about 30 minutes for either. However, I felt this could be a "mini-test" to see if I'd be up for returning to work next week.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the dealership added a few massage lounger chairs! I spent the entire time in the chair and listened to my audiobook. Boy did that feel great!

Does anybody own a massage lounger chair? If you so, do you strongly recommend it, what model do you have, and does it help?

The one at the dealership was made by Human Touch. I'm not sure the exact model, but when I looked at the ones on Amazon, it looks like the HT-135 model. It's pretty expensive, but if it is helpful it could be worth it! Also on amazon, I looked at the Panasonic models (EP30006KU or EP30004KU). They're even more expensive, but seem to have really cool features.

I have a mat that can be put on a bed or chair and it really good. Can't manage it massaging anywhere near my back area yet but it has separate zones and the leg one with the back heat on is really good. Its by Homedics - (a MMP-200 10 motor massage mat with heat)

Oh I know what you mean Dave. While shopping for a bed, we came across a massage chair at the store. It was pure heaven! I have never had as good a massage as that chair gave me, and I almost went for that instead of the new bed...almost

But boy, was it pricey! What pleasant memories though, thanks

Awesome news about the massage chairs at the dealership! I dread going to the dealership because of the uncomfortable chairs they have there--apparently your dealership is thinking from the customer's shoes.

The Relax the Back store has some massage chairs, but some of them are close to an old, reliable Toyota in price...

Massage Recliners.

Great links! I'll have to look into the refurbished ones. They have quite a substantial savings.

I love the "Relax The Back" store, but my eyes popped out seeing their prices. You were right about costing as much as a good quality, used car!

How about chairs in general? I am about two weeks out from my surgery and haven't given much thought on where I'll pass the time post-surgery. I am guessing a good bit of time just in bed, but what sort of thoughts do you "experts" have? Should I go get a recliner? Any other nuggets of wisdon on stuff like that I should consider getting before the surgery?

Not an expert but you finding what works for you is important. I like to be reclining, being flat is uncomfortable, being sat up agony. You'll figure it out, just make sure you are prepared with a few options and stuff to support you.
