Default Oh, I am so going to pay...

tomorrow, and the day after, and....

We had an invitation to a swanky party tonight, at a friend's retirement/birthday party. Poolside, barbeques, what a doozer! There were over 150 people there with live music, buffets galore and dancing....did I really dance for the entire evening

I haven't had this much fun since our wedding a few years ago. I didn't know wine & pain killers worked so well together...yes, I know better, but I really needed to kick loose

And to think that so many of those people who were there really believed I could hardly walk well normally, and then I show this side of me...I think I blew all sympathy tonight

I'm glad to hear you had fun! I love live music

It sounds like this party was definitely one to attend, even if you're a bit sore tomorrow.

Sounds fun, I was just thinking today how hubby and I never go out. We are like old people, always at home. I need to plan a sitter and go out and have some fun, maybe pull an all nighter (if I got it in me still )

Katie- I think the drinking and pain killers isn't really a problem, unless you do it often. I will drink like twice a year and have 5 or 6 drinks; that's enough to do me in these days. I figure twice a year isn't going to kill my liver and kidneys. Glad you had so much fun, you deserve too.

Well we didn't close down the place by any means...it was only 10 pm when we left, with still lots of people partying, but I hit the wall and was surprised that it wasn't midnight when I checked the time! An all nighter it wasn't

It's a good thing we can blame the animals for having to come home early. There were a lot of people much older than we were who were still going strong...I really feel old some days!

Kathy, don't feel bad. This is the first time I've been out to a 'do' in six years! We still go out to dinner occasionally, etc., but not to something where I pay so dearly the next day...it is already starting to set in...but even hubby is sore, and the host put his back out as well. I think we will all be commiserating tomorrow

But it was soooooo much fun!

Yeah, it was the party of the summer here in our village. We have a lot of well heeled people retiring here, including this couple, and some friends were saying that even people who didn't know them were trying to find a way to get an invite tonight. I don't know how I slipped under the radar to be there

Sounds like a lot of fun Katie. I love live music too. Altho, sometimes by the end of the evening you might find yourself looking a bit like this! Gosh, I guess since we're older, (no need for babysitters) we go out all the time, if we're not up north. Socializing with family and friends is in my bones. It's really fun to go out with your adult kids too. Of course, then it's nice to sneak off up north for total quiet and a bit of
