Our kids got us the most amazing present,(we had asked friends to donate to the charity we help with to finish their school building in Malawi), but they went one step better and have paid for three girls to go to school for the year, uniforms, books etc. They are going to keep in touch with us and let us know how they are getting on. Thinking about it is still making me blub!

Congrats Alison!! Big milestone! Precious daughters and I love their names too. Sometimes you just gotta join the living and throw a party or attend a party, no?! Good for you, even if you are licking your wounds for a bit yet.

Our recent trip to Scotland was to celebrate as I can't get insurance to fly with my pending medical issues. However this appears to be a blessing as we couldn't have flown out anywhere with the icelandic volcano shutting uk airspace. They thought things might open up today but more ash is coming over so it might be for a very short time.
