I guess I'm okay with this. I just hope my team (Twins) holds on today against the Tigers and then sweeps KC to steal the division from Detroit! I thought I'd never say it, but GO CHICAGO WHITE SOX!

OK. So here is the scoop.

Detroit is two games up on the twins after splitting the last series.
Three games to go. If Detroit wins two, they win the division hands down.
If the twins win the last three games and Detroit wins only one game, then we head to a tie-breaker game for the top spot.

No matter how you look at it, it is Detroit's to win or lose no matter what the Twins do.

Either way, the 4 games that the Tigers and the Twins just play were absolutely awesome. Both teams deserve to win, but only Detroit will.

I know that the odds don't look good for the Twins, but don't forget 2006 when the Royals traveled to Comerica Park and swept the Tigers out of the playoffs . . . . One can only hope!

That said, if any city needs some love, it is Detroit. I just hope that either of these teams has a chance against the hated Yankees!

Who could forget 2006. It was a shameful thing. I cannot believe Leyland was not canned for that. He did the exact same thing in this last series with the Twins. We were lucky to take two games.

The Yankees are rooting for the Twins. They do not like going head to head with the Tigers at all.

And yes, Detroit needs some love bad, for the LOWLY Lions. Their win last week just broke a 19 game losing streak.. Hey, with 1 win so far, we are 100% better than last year.

Sorry for your thread. The Lions are horrible. Last week they did not have 1/2 attendance. I'm still a die hard fan, but it is so disappointing to watch them play so bad week after week.

Detroit in itself has some GREAT teams. Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons.

No worries, Dave. I feel bad for the Lions--it's got to be hard suiting up every week just to get .
