Thank you very much! We are quite fortunate to have such a wonderful family, and I am very lucky to have such a beautiful, wonderful wife.

Besides the looks, the children have our corresponding personalities. Sometimes, their personalities are so similar to us when we were children it seems scary!

It's such a blessing to have our children. Well, at least, most of the time!

It's hard to believe our youngest starts Kindergarten in a week. Meanwhile, some friends from high school have their oldest going off to college.

p.s., I don't think my wife cut her hair between my avatar picture and the latest! The time difference is around four years.

Dave, what a great photo! It really brings out the character of your boys, unlike most photos I have taken like that. Does 'imp' describe them well? They are just bursting with fun! I can just see them in the barnyard, chasing chickens and frogs

That's OK, don't worry about the age differences between yours and your friends' children. Most of my friends are grandparents already, but I'm pleased to say, in some ways, that I don't have that title yet . Although when the time comes, I will treasure it. And yes, some others have children the same ages as yours. I don't think I would have the energy any more for full time 'fun'!

How does your wife like her shorter haircut? I love both styles on her, but I have to admit that most days in the summer, I wish mine was that length, as I have it pulled up to stay cooler anyway. Gorgeous colour by the way. I'm envious
Severe compression of spinal cord, flaval ligament, etc. at C4/5 & 5/6.
Herniation and compression, at L3/4 to L5/S1 plus spondylosis at the latter level. Severe allergy to most metals.
Three level surgery in Brazil with Dr. Luiz Pimenta on March 17/2010 using non-metal appliances. L5/S1-PEEK cage, ALIF; L4/5-PEEK cage, XLIF; C5/6-NuVasive NeoDisc. Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

    Katie,

Thanks for the kind words! It definitely makes us feel younger to have a child going off to Kindergarten instead of college!

I think I was unclear about my wife's hair. My small avatar picture, where I have a blue shirt on, was four years ago. That's when she had short hair. The more recent photo is where she has long hair.

She used to have long hair when we first met, and kept it until we she started working. The short hair made getting ready in the morning much faster, and was much cooler during the Austin Summers! But, she missed her long hair and let it grow again.

She does have beautiful, natural hair, and loved it a few years ago when red became the "new blonde!"
