I have just learned that there was an early morning attack on Bagram Air Force Base in Kabul by the Taliban. This is where my step-son is stationed in Afganistan. He called to say he was okay, but at least 7 or 8 were killed. Please keep him in your prayers. He comes home for his leave in July.....it can't get here soon enough.

Oh lordie, I had to check the date on your post, CL, as Kabul is the spot that claimed a Canadian and some of your guys just yesterday. It makes me ill. I'm so glad you got that ever so important call from him, and he will continue to contact you every day until he is home.

They are doing a wonderful job over there, and need all the support we can give them. MY BIL and sister-in-law were both over there at the same time last year, and we didn't breath easy till they were on home soil, so I understand your stress.

My prayers are with you, your son, and every other one over there trying to make a difference, no matter what role they are playing. Hugs to you and your family.

Three separate approaches, two minimally invasive. Currently minor residual back pain, from SI ligament and still overdoing things . Therapy and chiropractic treatments helping immensely. Gone from being almost bedridden to near normal activities including gardening. Life is gooooood!

    Cindy,

I talked to my oldest this afternoon. He is also at Bagram, and doing fine. Have you heard from the boy yet?

This is a good time to remember all of our finest from the USA, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Denmark, Albania, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Poland, Norway, Latvia, Greece, Croatia, Belgium, Portugal, Ukraine, Finland, and the more than dozen other nations that have also sent their youngest and finest.

May God bless them and keep them, give them success in their respective missions and place a hedge of thorns and a wall of fire of protection around them.

Let us know how the boy is doing.
