Finally home! They x-rayed, didn't see any breaks, but said that is common to not actually see it. They are sending it to a radiologist for review. They gave him a shot of Stadol and Phenegran and he is loopy; apparently some strong stuff. He got an Rx for the pain too and he was told to rest through Monday and to go to the ER if he has any stomach pain, shortness of breath, etc. Thanks for the prayers.

Thanks for the update Kathy on Joe. I certainly hope it's not a fracture, but it is true, alot of times these things don't show up right away. He's in good hands....YOU!

Kathy, Joe is in my prayers too. I hope our collective healing thoughts will help.

He is such a hard headed man that he went to work today. He owns his own lawn & tree service, mainly doing commercial work. Right now we have some idiots for employees (and that's being nice about it). One of them jack knifed one of our work trucks, they mowed for 6 hours yesterday with the deck on the mower up, so they were cutting absolutely nothing and didn't realize it, they all think if one is leaving early, that they all leave early and one of them lost his (our company's) new Iphone4, I get it back and not 5 days later he loses it again. Anyway, after all their idiocy yesterday, hubby said he wasn't going to lay back while they ran his business in the ground, they need a babysitter. Luckily I called my brother and asked him to come work for hubby again and he is going to! He does a great job, is picky like hubby and will motivate the others to stay on it and we can finally give him a foreman position, so he can feed his family. Anyway, Joe seems to not be in any extra pain and promises me he took it easy. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!

Sorry to hear Kathy you all are having such a rough time. It's so hard to count on others and most the time you just can't.My husband job is very much the same.About a month ago he hurt his back bad.Orthopedic said he needed rest for at least a week.Unfortunately the boat he works on is in the yard.He ended up going back to work early even though his back was not a 100% better. But he had to can't trust others to do what they are suppose to without holding there hand and watching over their every move.
I hope your hubby is on the mend and feeling 100% soon.Take care.

Kathy, I'm just seeing this now. I hope Joe feels better and that it's purely muscular in nature.

    Have done so.
Low back pain became somewhat dehabilitating in 2005
Have had 11 steroid injections, IDET, Trial for nerve stimulator, PT, chiropractic trial, practically every med known to mankind. Discogram indicated three diseased levels with L5-S1 being the most likely pain generator. Post minimally invasive PLIF with internal fixation (titanium) on 12-28-09 of L5-S1. Doing better than expected. Last opioid 7/9/10. Five months pain free, then my neck turned against me. MRI on 12/1/10-- disease at C2 to C7. Only surgical alternative is to fuse entire C-spine. Diagnosed now with Aggressive Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis with cord & brainstem active lesions

Kathy, WOW! What a story! I'm glad to see that it all went well. Good luck on finding a good foreman. Jeff
